Oooooooohhhh I think I’d have to say the 50s the fashion and hairstyles look awesome and think it would be nice to have people wearing stunning dresses rather then short skirts 🙂
I always say i was born about 150 years too late. I would have loved to live during the time that people first starting settling the west in the US. I love the simple life and living off the land.
That’s a difficult one to answer from my tastes in fashion and beautiful things I’d say the early 19th Century, but for the good life, mor the 50s and 60s before we heard that the World is doomed.
ooooh so would love to go back to the eighties knowing what i know now….oh my the things i would do …..the music is still important to me from those times ….oh to be a young adult again …sigh

1920’s in Paris…if you haven’t seen the movie by Woody Allen, Midnight in Paris, it is a must see. I don’t usually like sitting down to a movie but I watched this one twice.

I see myself living in the 50s… that quiet, suburban housewife who cooks, cleans, and does all the by-hand stuff. I really enjoy all of that, and that’s how my Grandma does everything. 🙂
I would have to say definitely late 1700 a 1800 I really am in love with Mr Darcy and Mrs Bennett in Pride and Prejudice and I just love that era. The looks and clothes etc…

I would like to go back to the 1930’s & 40’s; the recovery time after the Great Depression. I think living 2 or 3 genrations in a household like the Walton’s, even though a very tough time, would be a great time to raise children. Especially living in more rural areas, not the big cities!
I would like to go back to the 1860s, it would really help my genealogy research if I could speak to relatives alive then!

I could see myself in early 1920’s Paris – drinking champagne with artists in cafes until midnight, and sipping coffee with writers in ‘Shakespeare & Co. Bookshop’ in the daytime (minus the hangover!) …sigh.

I think I’d enjoy the late 1800s and early 1900s. But I don’t think I’d do well during that period. I don’t know how women dealt with the repression that was forced upon them in previous years and I”d probably get myself in trouble.

I would be on a small town in the American West during the era of the cowboy!
I would like to go back to the early 1700’s and live on the court in France and study the art of riding with M. la Gueriniere and study art. It would depend if I could get in the teaching of this riding Master as a girl, if not I would prefer to be a boy instead :).
1920s would be my choice. I love the freedom women were starting to experience- clothes, attitudes… not stuffy and restrictive but opening up to new ideas…
I actually compete in swing dancing, so clearly the 20’s to early 40’s would be my time to be around if I could go back and do that! 🙂

Oh, what a giveaway! Every time has its problems, but the 1950s seem so vibrant. The gaudy colors and patterns–oilcloth table and floor coverings, colorful linoleums, kitchen linens–I love their nostalgic look.
I think I would fit in Colonial times or in the Victorian era, something of a Luddite at heart.
I’ve always been interested in colonial times. I can see myself working on a sampler at night, rocking in a rocking chair, or going to quilting bees I don’t know how they could see what they were doing by candle light though!
I always live here and now and have never had the wish to exist in another time zone. But if I had to make a choice it have to be the 80s. Great music and I had a fun time around then.

I think the Victorian Era is one of my favorites for paper crafting- love the colors and the long dresses and laces. I am far too outspoken of a woman though- my mouth would prob be getting me in lots of trouble if I lived back then!
I appreciate the time I live in now, despite the sad aspects. But I think seeing the Victorian era would be quite interesting. I’ve been watching Downton Abbey and have been more intrigued.
I find history fascinating and I do love to use vintage items in my crafting. However, there is such a vast range of art and craft materials today that didn’t used to be available. I think I would be happiest just where I am, covered in ink and glue, with snipped paper and lace on the floor at my feet …

So much I love about every era. Life in the 50’s seemed most idyllic when children could freely roam the neighborhood & play in the streets with all the other neighbourhood kids. Gotta love the poodle skirts, soda shops & fab music of the day!

I’d love to go back to the days of the pioneers to experience what it was like although I don’t think I’d want to stay there too long as I would miss the comforts of life today.
I really like some things of the late 60s/early 70s, like design, music the movement of trying to make the world a better place. So perhaps that time and then me being in my twenties (because as a teenager I would have been to young to join and when older than 30 I would have been to old to join LOL). But only if that change of time would come with better health too, because if I really would have lived these days in this condition, I wouldn’t survive.

Hmmm… half of me wants to wear big dresses like in the 19th century, but half of me wants to live in the 1950’s, because of the elegant, sophisticated style of the women. I would love to look like Marilyn Monroe, love her hair.

I would love to live in the early 1900’s where a lady was a lady and chivalry was not dead. To be a lady of a fine manor house with clothes made of beautiful materials and fine lace, surrounded by artworks, embroidery and fine furniture. To have the time to walk through the gardens, drawing beautiful things in nature, play beautiful music and discussing good books. To have a loving family where children behaved beautifully and family dinners where served on fine china. Where life was slower and more elegant and one basked in beautiful things…..ahhhhh if only!
I would love to visit Victorian England and be part of upstairs. The clothing, the interiors and furniture are so beautiful. I am glad that I am living in this era but would like to visit then. I love all the technology, and freedom to be creative we have now.

OMG, What creative questions! Living vs Visiting is an important distinction! Definitely think we are living in a golden age now with all the ability to travel and communicate worldwide. I’d like to visit the future to see if we have improved or declined with time but “Now” is where I want to live!

The 50’s are when I came to this country, so I would want to do that over again, but with the knowledge I have now, so that I could make the most of the opportunities that were just evolving for women, but also so that I could hopefully impart some of my hard-learned wistom to the young women of that time. The car styles were more creative then also, which would make it more fun to revisit but really I’d want to teach about life so as to avoid some of the bad habits people have developed today.
