NJ and NYC – more East Coast Vacation

After coming back from the Cape we spent another day with our family and I even managed to sneak out with my fun sister in law to Frenchtown to visit Two Buttons an awesome store owned by the writer Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Love, Pray and others). Loved the store and there are so many more cute stores in this town – we had a great afternoon 🙂

We carved some pumpkins with the kids which was too funny – and yes- it was a bit early- but who cares- it was fun!

On Friday morning we took the train to NYC and met Julie for breakfast. Afterwards we spent the morning at MoMa- oh loooooveeee – I wish I could go there every month.

A little bit of shopping at Antrophologie and meeting some friends in the afternoon in the Village- perfect day – topped off with an delicious and funny dinner with Julie and her husband. While the husbands crashed, Julie and I had a chatty night…as always when we meet- LOL.

Saturday we had our co-teaching class . Julie is such an amazing teacher and it was just pure fun to work with her. We had a blast and we hope our students had too – well we all laughed a lot and the techniques looked all so different and awesome.

Can’t wait to have her in Hamburg for our Mixed Media Circus Event – it is going to be a blast. And that was our vacation then – the next day we flew back to Germany.

I think it is the first time I heard myself saying I could vision myself living in NYC 😉 I have been in the City a couple times but that it was never the city I could see myself to see living in the U.S. 🙂

  1. Looking forward to the day when you DO move to the states — I might actually be able to get to one of your workshops!

  2. Super photos and I totally hear ya on the NY thing.Out of all other cities in the world that would be the one I could see myself living.

  3. looks like a great class and all the sweet ladies are smiling..probably because they get to take a class with you 🙂

Two Buttons looks like such a wonderful place to spend an afternoon looking for hidden treasures.
Spending time with Julie in NYC must have made the thought of living there much more pleasant (than being there without her).

  5. your photos are wonderful and make me long for the Cape and NYC. glad you are having a great time.

  6. It was so great to finally meet you and the class was a blast…you & Julie make an awesome team. My Book of Techniques is almost finished and I will share the final results!
